A prominent special school in Thurrock is searching for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties.
Offering multiple development and progression pathways from teacher training and behaviour and communication specialism training, this school is searching for those looking to take their next step in SEN and provide the highest quality learning support to children and young people with SEND.
An opportunity to analyse the mind and develop a greater understanding of special educational needs, this role would be well suited to psychology graduates looking to pursue a career in clinical, educational or child psychology.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant may be/have…
· Experience working with children and young adults with autism and severe learning difficulties.
· Team Teach / Restraint Training.
· Experience with PECS and other Visual Aids.
· Makaton and/or BSL training/experience.
· Open and inclusive attitude.
· Engaging and creative personality.
· Dedication to working with individuals with Special Educational Needs.
· Ambitious and hardworking.
