Are you seeking to start or progress your career supporting young people with SEND and additional needs?
We are working with a fantastic secondary school in Lambeth (South London) to find someone to be a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting students aged 11 to 16 with Autism and mild learning difficulties.
Within the role, you will be supporting different students throughout the day, helping them overcome barriers to personal and academic growth. The school offers training to staff in addition to a tailored day, based on the applicants’ hobbies and interests. The reason for this is so you can use your interest in a particular subject or hobby to best connect with the students, to build a relationship and become a role model for the students.
This role is especially good for applicants who enjoy the arts as the school prides itself on this, with a big focus on subjects such as Music, Media, Art, Drama, etc….
The school offers great training, including training to support the progression of its TAs should they wish to pursue a career in teaching. They also will help and advise you regarding where you wish to go with your career ambitions, with progression within the school available for those who seek it.
So, if this opportunity sounds ideal for you, why not apply today? Experience is desirable, but not required, and graduates are more than welcome to apply!
