Immediate start, long-term to permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:15pm
£100 to £110 PAYE per day, weekly payment

A growing specialist autism school in Surrey needs SEN Teaching Assistants. The school is recruiting more than one, and the start is immediate.
You may already be the person a pupil looks for when the room gets loud. In this role, you use it every day, and the Teacher relies on you for it.
I am currently working with a specialist autism school in Surrey that is expanding its intake. Pupils are taught in classes matched to their communication and ability. When a pupil is close to overwhelmed, the adult beside them usually sees it first.
What to expect as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Sit beside a pupil during a lesson and adapt the task the moment it stops working
- Spot the signs that a pupil is overwhelmed and help them settle before it builds up
- Break the Teacher's plan into small steps that a pupil can finish
- Note what worked for each pupil and pass it to the Teacher at the end of the day
- Provide personal care with dignity, as part of every role in the school
Who should apply
- Anyone who has supported autistic children or young people, in school or as a volunteer. A formal qualification is not required.
- Graduates in psychology, education or a related subject who want classroom experience before teacher training or a clinical route
- Aspiring Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists who want time with pupils who communicate in different ways
- Support workers, carers and youth workers are ready to move into a school
- Anyone with the right to work in the UK and a willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check
