SEN Teaching Assistants – Colchester
Do you have experience supporting children with special educational needs?
Do you have experience working with pupils who have an EHCP that require 1:1 learning support?
Are you keen to make a difference to the lives of children and young people whilst building your experience and furthering your career in SEND/SEMH?
I am seeking engaging and passionate SEN Teaching Assistants who want to provide meaningful and essential support to vulnerable children who require it most!
The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and ASC. Home schooling will have been incredibly tough for some of these students without dedicated 1:1 support and they really need you now more than ever!
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements
● Experience of working with children/young people with Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties, speech and communication difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, mental health issues
● Learning Support / Teaching Assistant experience
● Proactive, flexible and willing approach
● Ability to build rapport with disengaged students
● Patience and understanding of the difficulties surrounding children’s return to school

● Excellent experience and training for aspiring Teachers, Pastoral workers, Child Psychologists, Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Counsellors, and Social Workers
