SEN Teaching Assistant – Complex Needs & Autism
South West London | £85–£95 per day (PAYE) | Full-Time | Immediate or September Start | Long-Term to Permanent

We are working in partnership with a leading specialist SEND school in South West London that supports children and young people aged 3–19 with Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and associated physical and medical needs.
They are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants who are kind, committed, and ready to join a team that puts pupils’ needs at the heart of everything.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting pupils with complex learning difficulties and disabilities in a specialist school setting
- Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility (including hoisting – training provided)
- Using visual aids such as PECS, Makaton, and AAC to support communication
- Taking part in creative and sensory-based learning, including hydrotherapy, music, art, and outdoor activities
- Working collaboratively with therapists and teachers to deliver personalised education plans

We’re looking for people who are:
- Psychology graduates or aspiring teachers, therapists, or educational psychologists
- Experienced carers, support workers, or SEN Teaching Assistants
- Calm, caring, and resilient individuals who are comfortable with personal care and swimming
- Open to learning and committed to supporting children with additional needs
Requirements:
- Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Able to travel to South West London daily
- Comfortable with personal care, hoisting, and hydrotherapy
