Are you passionate about supporting young people with complex needs to achieve independence and prepare for adult life?
We are working with a school based in Enfield that caters for students aged 16–25 years with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech, language and communication needs. The school are looking for experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants who are passionate about SEND, believe in their values, and are confident supporting young people within this age group.
About the Role:

Supporting students in line with the class timetable
-
Lessons involve English, Maths, ICT, PE, creative sessions, life skills, and work experience
-
One day a week you will join students on their work experience day, helping them gain real-world experience and develop employability skills

Providing 1:1 and small group support, ensuring all students are engaged and able to access the curriculum
Your Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored support to students, adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs

Provide encouragement to help students build confidence, resilience, and independence

Support the teacher in managing the classroom and preparing resources

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external agencies to meet students’ educational, social, and emotional needs

Assist in preparing students for adulthood by supporting life skills, independence, and future pathways
Requirements for the Role:
-
Experience working with young people with SEND (school or care background)

A strong understanding of Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people
