Locations: Merton
Salary: £95 - £105 per day (dependent on experience) 
Hours: Full-time: Monday to Friday - Term Time only 8:30am - 4:00pm

This role is perfect for psychology graduates, education students, or anyone looking to develop a career in teaching or therapy.

What is the role?

You will be supporting students with challenging behaviours, and they may present the following:

  • Disruptive or antisocial behaviour (which can be a symptom of distress)
  • Withdrawn behaviour
  • Anxiety and self-harm
  • Anger and aggression
  • Depression
  • Assess students' learning needs and support the class teacher with their progress, both academically and developmentally 
  •  Excellent organisational skills will be required to keep track of student progress, materials, and resources

Who We’re Looking For:

  •  Trauma Informed Practice
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
  • Learning, mentoring interventions and supporting children’s behaviour and access to the curriculum
  • Passionate individuals who genuinely want to make a difference
  • Graduates (Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related fields) looking for hands-on experience: Ideally, candidates who have some type of tutoring experience in Maths, English and other areas
  • Resilient & patient personalities, every day is different, and adaptability is key!
  • Previous experience in education, care, youth work, or mental health is a bonus but not essential

Focus on building a strong, trusting relationship with the child or young person while discovering their interests and skills through various activities. We help children and young people to better understand themselves and sensitively explore social, emotional and behavioural issues which may be hindering them in achieving their full potential.
