SEN Tutor / Key Worker – Specialist Provision

Location: Merton
Pay: £95 - £110 per day (Depending on experience) PAYE
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Key Worker passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? Or perhaps you are a graduate seeking more hands on experience before going on to complete an MA or furhter career in a clinical field?

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to support students with a range of additional needs, providing both academic and emotional support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), anxiety, trauma-related needs, SEMH difficulties, self-deprecating behaviours and medical needs
  • Deliver targeted interventions and classroom support across Maths, English, Humanities, PSHE and other curriculum areas
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that promote engagement, confidence and emotional wellbeing
  • Support students with emotional regulation, social development and resilience
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and encourage independence
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, therapists and families to ensure consistent support

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and additional needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence supporting learning across a range of subjects
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed both academically and personally

  • The ability to remain calm, adaptable and solution-focused in challenging situations
