We are seeking a passionate, strategic and highly committed SENCO to join a PRU in Central London. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape and drive an inclusive vision that ensures every student, regardless of need, is able to succeed.
The Role:
- Lead the strategic development of SEND provision across the setting
- Ensure full implementation of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
- Oversee identification, assessment and review processes for students with SEND
- Coordinate EHCPs, annual reviews and personalised support plans
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of interventions and provision
- Lead CPD to develop high-quality adaptive teaching and inclusive practice
- Work closely with staff, families and external agencies to secure the best outcomes
Working in a PRU
- Lead a culture of high expectations and inclusion
- Ensure early and accurate identification of need
- Support staff to deliver adaptive, trauma-informed teaching
- Develop strategies that support engagement, emotional regulation and reintegration
- Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies
Experience working within a PRU, alternative provision or SEND setting is highly desirable.

- Holds QTS and the NASENCO qualification (or is working towards it)
- Has strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Has experience supporting students with SEMH and complex needs
- Can lead, influence and support colleagues effectively
- Is highly organised with strong communication skills
- Is resilient, reflective and solutions-focused
