Salary - £36,413 - £48,532 (depending on experience) plus SEN allowance

The school
We are working with an all-through SEN school based in Merton that caters for students with autism, SLD and associated needs in a carefully designed environment. The school are seeking a new SENCO to join there experienced leadership team in September. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, who put the children and young people at the heart of everything they do. You will have overall responsibility for determining the strategic development of SEND and enforcing the SEND policy and provision within the school. You will be responsible for coordinating SEND provision to support individual pupils. The ideal candidate, you must have experience working with children with SEND and ASC, you must also hold QTS.
The ideal SENCO MUST have
- QTS
- Experience as a SENCO
- Experience in processing EHC Plans and also in the annual review process
- NASENCO is beneficial but at the very least, should be willing to work towards NASENCO qualification
- It is essential to be able to work closely with both students and parents, building positive and sensitive way. Being able to demonstrate knowledge of SEND.
- Organised to ensure planning, monitoring and continuous review of all students ensuring needs are always met
