Parker Smith Inclusion is working with an Outstanding specialist SEND school in Enfield that is looking for a dedicated SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is looking to develop their career further within a specialist setting, with opportunities for training, progression and gaining a Level 4 HLTA qualification.

This specialist SEND school supports pupils aged 4–25 years old with a wide range of complex needs, including:

The Role
As a SEND Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both pupils and teachers across the school.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with complex SEND needs
- Delivering learning activities and interventions
- Leading lessons when classroom cover is required
- Supporting teachers with planning and classroom delivery
- Helping pupils develop confidence, communication and independence
- Working closely with the wider SEND team
Who This Role Would Suit
This role would be ideal for someone who:
- Has experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Is confident working with pupils with additional needs
- Has the ability to lead learning activities when required
- Is motivated to continue developing professionally
- Has a calm, resilient and positive approach
HLTA status is desirable but not essential. The school is open to experienced Teaching Assistants who are ready to take the next step and develop into the role.
