We are working with a unique specialist college in Tower Hamlets that is looking for a creative and passionate SEND Job Coach to join their team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to support young adults aged 16–25 with Autism (ASC) as they prepare for employment, independence and their next steps beyond education.
The college provides a creative and innovative learning environment, with students developing skills across areas including Design, Digital Business, Creative Media, Music and Employability. Through personalised support and real-world opportunities, students are encouraged to build confidence, develop independence and recognise what they are capable of achieving.
The Setting
This specialist college offers something genuinely different. Students are supported through personalised pathways designed around their strengths, interests and future goals.
The environment is creative, inclusive and focused on preparing young adults for adulthood. Staff work closely with students, families, employers and external organisations to create meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom.
The Role
As a SEND Job Coach, you will play a key role in helping students develop the skills, confidence and experience needed for employment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with CV writing, applications and interview preparation
- Providing 1:1 coaching tailored to individual communication styles and needs
- Helping students develop workplace skills and independence
- Supporting students during work experience and employment pathways
- Working with businesses, charities and external organisations to create opportunities
- Encouraging students to recognise their strengths and future potential
Who This Role Is For
This role would suit someone with experience in:
- SEND employability support
- Job coaching or employment coaching
- Youth work or mentoring
- Further education settings
- Supporting young people with Autism, SEMH or communication needs
- CV writing and interview support
A background in creative industries such as Design, Fashion, Textiles, Media or Digital would also be highly relevant.
You will need to be patient, innovative and passionate about helping young people achieve independence.
