Parker Smith Inclusion is looking for two experienced SEND Learning Support Assistants to join a primary school in Hutton, Brentwood.
You'll provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with complex needs, including autism, global developmental delay, communication difficulties and sensory needs.
The role involves getting to know each pupil, understanding how they communicate and finding ways to help them feel settled, access learning and become more independent.
The role includes:

Providing dedicated 1:1 classroom support.

Helping pupils communicate their needs and engage with learning.

Supporting emotional regulation and sensory needs.

Following individual support and behaviour plans.

Responding calmly and consistently to challenging behaviour.

Providing personal care where required.

Encouraging independence and recognising individual progress.
Who we're looking for
Hands-on experience supporting children with complex SEND is essential.
You'll need to be patient, resilient and confident supporting pupils who may be non-verbal or require significant support throughout the school day.
Experience with autism, communication needs, sensory processing, behaviour support and personal care would be particularly relevant.
