Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a specialist SEND provision in Chelmsford, supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
The setting has been thoughtfully designed around the needs of its pupils, creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where every child can access learning in a way that works for them.
The team are genuinely committed to a child-centred approach. Every pupil's journey is different, and staff work closely together to support their academic, social and emotional development.
What will your day look like?
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils to help them learn, communicate, develop and build confidence.
Your role will include:
- Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support.
- Supporting communication and engagement through creative, personalised approaches.
- Helping pupils develop their independence and confidence.
- Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff to provide holistic support.
- Assisting with personal care where required, always maintaining dignity and respect.
- Helping create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
- Building strong relationships with pupils and understanding how each individual learns and communicates.
