We're looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism, communication needs, sensory differences, and complex medical and physical needs.
Your Role
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups throughout the school day.
- Help children develop their communication, independence and confidence.
- Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, visual supports and sensory approaches.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and families to help pupils achieve their EHCP targets.
- Promote positive behaviour and provide personal care where required, always encouraging independence.
