SEND Learning Support Assistant – Specialist SEND School
Enfield | September 2026 Start | Specialist SEND Provision
What if the support you provide today becomes the moment a child starts believing in what they can achieve?
In specialist SEND education, progress is not always measured in grades or test results. Sometimes it is a child communicating for the first time, becoming more independent, building confidence, or simply feeling understood.
We are working with a welcoming specialist SEND school in Enfield that is looking for a caring and dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
The school supports pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism, communication needs, sensory differences, and complex medical and physical needs. Staff work together to create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their potential.

You will:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Help pupils develop communication, social and independence skills
- Use approaches such as PECS, Makaton, visual supports and sensory strategies
- Work closely with teachers, therapists and families to support EHCP targets
