A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham is looking for a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team this September. The school has a strong child-centred ethos and provides well-resourced, supportive learning environments tailored to a wide range of additional needs.
You will be supporting pupils across 1:1 and small group interventions, working with children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs. Your role will be key in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and emotionally throughout the school day.
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCo, you’ll help deliver personalised support strategies that enable every child to thrive. The school is seeking someone calm, flexible, and genuinely passionate about making a difference—whether you already have SEND experience or are looking to build a long-term career in education.
