Role - Nurture Teacher
Location - Bexley, South East London
Salary - £37,870 - £50,474
Not every classroom feels safe to every child. As a Nurture Teacher, you understand that learning only begins when a child feels secure, understood, and valued. You know that before progress can happen, trust has to be built and that takes time, patience, and consistency. This role is about creating that foundation.
Within our specialist SEND settings, you’ll lead a nurture-based classroom designed to support students who may have experienced disruption, anxiety, or challenges with attachment and emotional regulation. Your focus won’t just be on what they learn, but how they feel while learning. Because feeling safe changes everything.
You’ll create a calm, predictable environment where routines are clear, expectations are consistent, and relationships come first. Through a blend of academic learning and emotional support, you’ll help students rebuild confidence, develop social skills, and begin to re-engage with education.
You’ll be supported by a strong team around you. Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff, and leadership who understand the importance of nurture and give you the space to deliver it properly. Whether your background is mainstream or SEND, it’s your approach that matters most.
At Parker Smith Inclusion, we work with schools that prioritise nurture, wellbeing, and meaningful progress. We take the time to match you with a setting where your skills will be recognised and your impact felt.
This isn’t about catching students up, it’s about helping them feel ready to learn again and that starts with the right teacher.
