Science Teacher – SEND Schools | September 2026 Start | South East London
As a Science Teacher, you know the impact great teaching can have, engaged learners, real progress, and lessons that truly connect. But in the wrong environment, that impact can feel limited by pressures, behaviour management, or lack of time to build meaningful relationships. This is an opportunity to change that.
We are working with a range of SEND schools across Bexley in South East London who are seeking Science Teachers for a September 2026 start. While each setting is different, they all share a commitment to creating supportive environments for both students and staff.
You’ll be teaching students who may have faced barriers to learning, including anxiety, trauma, or long-term disengagement from education. Often, the challenge isn’t ability, but finding the right approach to re-engage them.
You’ll need to be confident teaching Science across a wide ability range, from GCSE level through to more functional or foundational learning. Adaptability, patience, and the ability to make learning accessible are key, alongside a calm and consistent approach.
Across these schools, there is a strong emphasis on teamwork and staff support. Leadership teams are typically hands-on and collaborative, ensuring teachers feel supported, developed, and part of a wider team rather than working in isolation.
At Parker Smith Inclusion, we specialise in matching teachers with SEND environments where they can thrive. We take time to understand your values and experience, and all roles are PAYE with full transparency and no hidden deductions. We also provide CV support, interview preparation, and ongoing guidance throughout your journey.
