SEND Support Staff (Level 2 or Level 3) – September Start

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant / Behaviour Support
We are currently recruiting qualified Level 2 and Level 3 SEND Support Staff for long-term, temp-to-perm and permanent opportunities across inclusive and supportive schools in Havering, starting this September.
These roles are ideal for individuals who are committed to building a career in education and want stability, progression and meaningful impact within SEND settings. In some schools there may also be opportunities for those who wish to progress into teacher training routes in the future, depending on placement and suitability.
The Role
You will be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD and SEMH needs
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Learning difficulties ranging from mild to complex
- Emotional regulation and behavioural needs
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing consistent 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting access to learning across the curriculum
- Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
- Implementing behaviour and support strategies
- Promoting independence, confidence and engagement
- Supporting personalised learning plans
What We Are Looking For
- Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children or young people (SEND experience preferred)
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for inclusive education
