SEND TA – Havering

Location: Havering
Pay: £95–£105 per day, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm
Contract: Full-time

Understanding the child is just as important as supporting the learning.

We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant in Havering to support pupils with additional needs, including children who may have Autism, ADHD or other SEND.

The right person will be someone who takes the time to understand each child and build a positive relationship with them.

About the Role

You’ll support pupils throughout the school day, helping them access learning and manage the wider challenges that can come with school.

This could include:

• 1:1 support within the classroom.

• Helping pupils understand and complete tasks.

• Supporting communication and interaction.

• Encouraging emotional regulation.

• Supporting positive behaviour.

• Helping children develop independence.

• Working alongside teachers and the wider SEND team.

About You

Previous experience working with children is preferred.

Experience with Autism or other SEND would be useful, but we’re also happy to consider people coming from childcare, care, youth work, mentoring or similar backgrounds.

You’ll need to be patient, observant and consistent, with the ability to adapt your approach to the child in front of you.

What We Offer

£95–£105 per day depending on experience, PAYE.

Full-time Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, with long-term and potential permanent opportunities.
