Are you a passionate teacher looking for an opportunity to make a genuine difference within a specialist Autism provision?

We are supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Sutton that is seeking a dedicated Primary SEND Teacher to join their well-established Autism Resource Provision (ARP). This is an opportunity to work within a school that places relationships, inclusion and individual growth at the heart of everything they do.

Their specialist Autism provision offers highly personalised support for pupils with Communication and Interaction needs, ensuring every child can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

As the class teacher within the ARP, you will lead a small class of KS1/EYFS pupils with Autism and complex sensory needs. Working alongside an experienced support team, you will create engaging learning opportunities that develop communication, independence and confidence through a child-centred approach.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver highly personalised lessons

  • Lead and manage a team of Teaching Assistants

  • Support pupils with Autism and complex sensory needs

  • Create calm, structured and engaging learning environments

  • Promote communication development using a total communication approach

  • Work collaboratively with therapists, families and SEND leaders

  • Contribute to positive outcomes through inclusive teaching practices

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong understanding of Autism and SEND

  • Experience supporting pupils with communication and sensory needs

  • Confident leading and developing a classroom team

  • Patient, nurturing and reflective practitioner

  • Passionate about inclusive education
