September 2026 Start
Help young people with autism thrive in a school built around their needs.
Are you a passionate and nurturing teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every day?
We are supporting a specialist autism provision in South East London that is seeking a dedicated Special Needs Teacher to join their team from September 2026. The school provides a structured, therapeutic, and highly supportive environment for pupils aged 5-16 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated needs.
With small class sizes, personalised learning, and access to therapies, enrichment activities, forest school, swimming, and community-based learning, the school helps pupils develop confidence, communication skills, independence, and a love of learning.
What does a typical day look like?
Your day begins with a briefing alongside teaching assistants and therapists, ensuring everyone is prepared to give pupils the best possible support.
You'll teach a small class of pupils with autism, adapting lessons to individual needs and creating opportunities for every child to experience success. Throughout the day, you'll work closely with support staff and therapists to help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
No two days are the same, but every day offers the opportunity to celebrate progress, build meaningful relationships, and make a lasting impact.
