A welcoming and well-resourced specialist SEN school in Cricklewood is seeking an inspiring SEND Teacher to lead a small autism class. You will teach a class of six pupils with autism, working across a broad range of abilities from Reception to Key Stage 2. With strong support around you, you will create a calm, structured and engaging environment where pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn.

The Role

  • Teach a small autism specialist class of six pupils

  • Deliver a broad, adapted primary curriculum across EYFS to KS2 levels

  • Plan creative, personalised lessons aligned to EHCP outcomes

  • Build a structured classroom environment that supports routine and engagement

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and SEN professionals

  • Support communication, emotional regulation and independence

  • Foster confidence, resilience and a genuine enjoyment of learning

What the School Is Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a valid TRN

  • Minimum two years’ experience supporting pupils with SEND

  • Strong primary curriculum knowledge (EYFS–KS2)

  • Experience working with autism and differentiated learning approaches

  • A flexible, patient and proactive teaching style

  • Excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills

Classroom Support

  • Two experienced teaching assistants supporting the class

  • Collaborative, team-focused SEN environment

  • Additional support tailored to pupil needs
