Parker Smith Inclusion is working with Woodlands School to recruit a dedicated Class Teacher to join their learning community.
About the role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated learning that reflects the individual needs and abilities of your pupils.
You'll create a positive classroom environment, promote positive behaviour and work closely with teaching staff, families and specialist professionals to support each pupil's academic, social and emotional development.
The role
You will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.

Differentiating learning to meet individual pupil needs.

Assessing, recording and reporting on pupil progress.

Leading and supporting a class team.
-
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

Promoting positive behaviour and an inclusive learning environment.

Working alongside parents, carers, therapists and other professionals.

Contributing to curriculum and whole-school development.

Leading an agreed area of the curriculum.

Supporting pupils across key stages and preparing them for adulthood.
Who we are looking for

Hold Qualified Teacher Status or are working towards it.

Are passionate about helping children and young people reach their potential.

Can adapt their teaching to different learning needs and abilities.

Are keen to develop their understanding of SEND and specialist education.
Previous experience in a specialist SEND setting is welcomed but is not essential. The school can offer support and professional development for teachers who are looking to develop their SEND experience.
