Responsibilities of an SEND Teacher
- Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH & ASC challenges.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate individual learning styles and provide tailored support for each student.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to create comprehensive intervention plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and their families.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Specialised training or experience in SEMH education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of students with SEMH challenges.
