Are you an experienced SEND Teacher? Have you worked within a special school or SEND provision before? Are you experienced supporting complex autism and PMLD students?

The school is a successful two-form entry, resourced Primary School, with a morning and afternoon Nursery, providing high quality education to an inclusive and diverse community. They place a high emphasis on teaching through a creative and sensory curriculum. Our school community has a strong ethos and shared vision, which lays the foundations for excellence in teaching and learning.

A mainstream primary school with a large SEN Provision consisting of 3 classes with students that have complex autism and profound and moderate learning difficulties in need of a SEND Teacher starting starting immediately. You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to ASC and PMLD children, enabling them to make good progress in their learning.

You will need to be a Teacher that is committed to creating engaging lessons and adapting them to meet the needs of all the students, you will need to be creative and always thinking of new ideas! Also being a warm and empathetic person as the other staff members will be looking to you for support and encouragement when needed. 

You will be part of a large developed SEND team meaning you're able to lean on colleagues for ideas.

  • Raise the standards of SEN pupils within specialist classrooms.
  • Have a passion for providing a curriculum for all children to succeed.
  • Be able to work and lead effectively within a supportive, committed and successful staff team.
  • Collaborating with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
  • Have high aspirations for themselves and a commitment to further development.
  • Experience working in a Special School or a Resource Provision School is essential
