SEND Teacher – Resource Provision (Primary Setting)

Are you a passionate educator dedicated to making a difference? Are you a specialist teacher with the knowledge to adapt the national curriculum to meet SEND learners? Are you creative with the ability to make learning engaging?

A MS Primary school have created a new autism resource base for young learners who cannot access mainstream education and they require an experienced specialist teacher to support this provision and it's staff. There is a growing need of SEND children meaning you'll need to grow with the provision and continuously provide new engaging lessons to the learners. You will support children with ASC and complex needs within the dedicated resource provision, meaning we require a teacher that understands the importance of visuals & now/next boards and the engaging activities that interest pupils. Most of these learners have a 1:1 support which means you will be responsible for the organising of these staff ensuring they are supporting learners' individual needs and interventions are taking place. You will also be working closely with the speech and language therapists.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher with Primary experience.
  • Experience teaching within a special school and/or resource provision within a school.
  • Proven ability to support young learners that cannot acess the mainstream curriculum .
  • Ability to create engaging lessons plans that involved play based and sensory based learning.
  • A positive, personable person that can work well within a team.
  • Experienced within safeguarding and crisis procedures.
  • Experience mentoring TAs and providing feedback that can improve the learners experience when required.
  • Calm, predicatable, respectful and consistent.
  • Being open minded with a no judgement way of working.

This is an immediate role, that is full time and will be looking to interview staff ASAP, ideally you will have a DBS on the Update Service to save time - but I'm keen to speak to specialist Teachers ASAP.
