Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting pupils who need additional help to thrive in school?
We are a specialist SEND education agency working with schools across Barnet, supporting pupils with a range of needs including autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), ADHD, and learning difficulties. We are looking for reliable, patient, and compassionate Teaching Assistants who want to make a genuine difference in the classroom.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships with pupils and supporting them to gain confidence, develop new skills, and engage in learning.
The Role
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in primary and secondary schools across Barnet who require additional help to access the curriculum and feel confident in the classroom.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils with autism, SEMH needs, or learning difficulties
• Helping pupils stay engaged and focused during lessons
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working alongside teachers and SENCOs to support individual learning plans
• Creating a calm, structured environment that supports learning

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for candidates who:
• Have experience working with children in a school or education setting
• Have supported pupils with SEND, autism, SEMH, or behavioural needs
• Are patient, reliable, and adaptable
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Are passionate about supporting children’s development
Experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, or classroom support staff is highly desirable.
