SEND Teaching Assistant

North West London

£100 per day PAYE

September 2026 Start

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in North West London is seeking six SEND Teaching Assistants to join their team this September.

This vibrant school is committed to helping every child feel safe, supported and able to achieve their full potential. With a strong focus on resilience, inclusion and personal growth, staff work together to create an environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive.

The school is expanding its SEND support provision and has a variety of opportunities available. Some roles will involve supporting pupils within a specialist Autism provision, whilst others will focus on 1:1 support or helping pupils access learning within mainstream classrooms.

You may support pupils with Autism, communication differences, sensory processing needs and emotional regulation challenges. Some pupils are non-verbal and require personalised support to help them engage with learning and develop independence.

The school welcomes applications from candidates with previous school-based experience, as well as those who have gained valuable personal experience supporting children or young people with additional needs.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be patient, caring and resilient
  • Have experience supporting children or young people
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Be confident supporting communication and emotional regulation
  • Have a genuine passion for inclusive education
