SEND Teaching Assistant | Outstanding SEND Specialist School | Enfield | Temp to Permanent | September Start

An exciting opportunity has opened at a dedicated Ofsted Outstanding SEND specialist school in Enfield as a SEND Teaching Assistant, supporting Early Years to Key Stage 3 with a range of complex needs, including ASC, SEMH, MLD, SLD, ADHD and speech and language needs. This rewarding role also includes providing personal care, helping students develop their independence, confidence and daily living skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The school delivers a fun, stimulating and highly personalised approach to learning, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. Alongside tailored academic lessons, pupils benefit from an engaging curriculum that includes swimming, music lessons and yoga, designed to build confidence, communication and life skills.

With small class sizes of just 10–12 students, each class is supported by an experienced team of five staff members, including a qualified Teacher, HLTA and three SEND Teaching Assistants. This high level of staffing ensures every pupil receives the individualised support they need while creating a collaborative and supportive working environment for staff.

The school has multiple campuses, ranging from Early Years through to Post-16, creating excellent long-term career pathways for those looking to progress into HLTA positions, teacher training or specialist therapeutic roles. You'll also benefit from a fantastic training programme, with ongoing professional development to help you build your confidence and expertise within SEND.

This is a Monday to Friday position, working 8:00am–3:30pm, with 8:30am–5:00pm every other Wednesday to take part in the school's dedicated training and development programme. The role is offered on a temp-to-permanent basis, making it an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to establish a long-term and rewarding career in specialist education.

Whether you already have experience supporting children with SEND or are looking to begin a purposeful career in education, this role welcomes individuals who are passionate about making a genuine difference. It is also an excellent opportunity for aspiring Educational, Clinical or Child Psychologists looking to gain invaluable hands-on experience within a specialist setting.

If you are patient, creative, resilient and passionate about helping young people achieve their potential, this could be the perfect opportunity to begin a fulfilling career where every day makes a difference.
