Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a truly special, purpose-built SEND provision in Chelmsford, supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
Every part of the setting has been carefully designed to create a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where pupils feel secure, understood and ready to learn.
This is a school where the child is always at the centre. Learning is highly personalised, relationships come first, and staff are genuinely passionate about helping every pupil thrive in their own way.
What will you be doing?
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils to support their learning, development and wellbeing.
Your role will include:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis, tailored to their individual needs.
- Helping develop communication, literacy and numeracy through creative and accessible activities.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff to deliver personalised learning.
- Supporting pupils with their physical, emotional and educational needs.
- Providing personal and intimate care where required, always with dignity and respect.
- Helping create a calm, consistent and engaging environment where every pupil feels safe.
- Encouraging independence, communication and confidence in a way that works for each individual child.
