Are you looking for a rewarding role supporting SEND students, gaining experience and progressing or starting your career?
We are working with a fantastic primary school in Southwark with an Autism Provision (ASC Provision) to find someone to support one of the SEN Classes. Within this role you will work within a classroom with yourself, another Teaching Assistant and the SEN Teacher to support around 10 to 12 students. Within the class, the students work around KS1 level, with lessons mostly consisting of play based activities and you will be assisting with these, helping the students both with academic and personal development.
Additionally, there is a role available to work 1:1 with a child with autism within one of the mainstream classes for the right candidate.
The school itself is an amazing place with a friendly faculty, amazing facilities and opportunities to learn and grown. Within the provision you will see Makaton and PECs, potentially learning this yourself alongside some basic BSL. Additionally, the school will take you on as a permanent member of staff after 2 terms, allowing for further growth and career progression further into your time within the school.
So, if this sounds like an opportunity you would like to go for, why not apply today?
