Outer London MPS UPS + SEN Allowance
Havering
September 2026 Start | Temp to Perm
A supportive and well organised two form entry primary school in Havering is looking to appoint an experienced and committed SENDCo from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a SEND professional who is looking for a role where inclusion is genuinely valued and where the systems, staffing and leadership support are already in place to allow you to focus on making a real impact across the school.
The school has built a strong reputation for its inclusive approach and is seeking a SENDCo who can continue to strengthen and develop provision for pupils with additional needs.
What makes this role stand out?
You will be joining a school that understands the demands of the SENDCo role and has invested in the right support structures to ensure success.
A dedicated SENDCo Assistant is already in place to oversee much of the daily coordination and administration, allowing you to focus on leadership, strategic development and high quality provision across the school.
There is no teaching timetable attached to the role, although there is flexibility for someone who wishes to remain involved with interventions and pupil support.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and developing SEND provision across the school
• Managing EHCP processes effectively and confidently
• Working closely with families, external agencies and staff
• Supporting teachers to ensure all pupils receive appropriate provision
• Driving inclusive practice and long term improvements
The school is looking for:
• A qualified SENDCo or a teacher currently completing the NPQ for SENCOs
• Someone organised, proactive and confident in their leadership
• A professional who values collaboration and relationship building
• An individual passionate about creating positive outcomes for pupils with SEND
Part time or full time applications are welcomed, minimum 3 days, with flexibility around working days.
Opportunities like this are rare. A well supported SENDCo role within a school that prioritises inclusion and values its staff.
