SEN Exams Officer - Special School - Merton

Salary: £110 - £150 per day
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Part Time - 3 days a week
We are supporting one of our partner schools in South West London, who require an Exams Officer and SEN Administrator on a part-time basis (3 days a week).
The successful applicant will be responsible for organising the examinations for pupils on roll, and you will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with key staff across sites. In addition to this role, you will also be working closely with SLT and SENDCOs, with various duties such as Annual Reviews.
The Role:
- Ensuring all exam entries, access arrangements, timetables, and paperwork meet exam board requirements (implied from standard exam officer expectations and required SIMS/exam process knowledge)
- Managing the logistics of exam days: invigilators, rooming, resources, and compliance with JCQ regulations (inferred from “experience of the examination process” requirement)

Supporting the SENCO with day-to-day administrative and organisational tasks related to SEND provision (implied from dual role structure)

Helping maintain accurate records for pupils with SEND, including ensuring correct details for exam access arrangements (aligned with duties across campuses)

Liaising with staff, pupils, and external professionals to ensure needs are communicated and provision is in place (standard to SENCO assistant duties, supported by “working across multiple campuses”)

General / Cross-Campus Responsibilities
About You:
- If you are familiar with SEND such as; Autism, SEMH, anxeity and dysregulation it would be a major benefit!
- Working flexibly across the partnership’s different school sites as needed, you must be able to commit to this
- Using SIMS and similar school systems confidently to support both examinations and SEND administration (explicit requirement)
- Supporting the overall administrative efficiency of the school, including data, safeguarding records, and communication where relevant (standard expectation of the combined role)
You must hold a Child and Adult Workforce DBS subscribed to the update service, or be willing to apply and pay for a new one.
