About the Role

PS Inclusion are seeking an experienced, qualified, and ambitious Senior SENCO / Inclusion Lead to join a Primary school after the October half-term (November 2nd).

This is an exciting opportunity for an established SENCO looking to step into a broader leadership role. While the primary focus initially will be leading and managing SEND provision across the school, the role is designed to evolve into a wider Inclusion Leadership position. Responsibilities will expand to include supporting disadvantaged pupils and potentially taking on the role of Designated Teacher for Looked-After Children (LAC).

Key Responsibilities

• SEND Leadership: Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the provision for special educational needs and disabilities across the school.

• Inclusion Expansion: Broaden your impact across wider inclusion areas, including supporting disadvantaged students and championing vulnerable learners.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong, collaborative relationships with teaching staff, support staff, parents, and external agencies. Have the confidence to lead crucial conversations and drive best practices.

• Future Leadership: Demonstrate ambition and readiness to take on senior responsibilities within the school community.

• Qualifications: Qualified SENCO status (National Award for SEN Coordination).

• Experience: Solid, proven experience as a SENCO—you must be confident, resilient, and able to hold your own and navigate challenging conversations.

• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach to working with families and staff.
