Role: Skilled Autism SEND Teacher
Location: Sutton
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: Outer London MPS | £194.21 – £267.79 per day (PAYE)
As a teacher, you know that communication looks different for every child, for some pupils, connection comes through routine, trust, sensory regulation, and the adults who take the time to truly understand them.
This inclusive primary school in Sutton is looking for a nurturing and skilled SEND Teacher to join their specialist Autism Provision, supporting children in KS1 and EYFS with complex communication and interaction needs.
This is a role where relationships come first and where small moments can become huge breakthroughs.
The Role
You’ll lead a small class of pupils with Autism and additional sensory needs, creating a calm, structured environment where children feel safe enough to engage, communicate, and learn.
The provision follows a highly personalised approach, with learning adapted to suit each child’s individual developmental stage. Many pupils are pre-verbal, so communication is supported through visual strategies, sensory approaches, and total communication methods embedded throughout the day.
You’ll work closely with a team of Teaching Assistants, therapists, and SEND leaders to ensure every child receives the consistency and support they need.
