We are looking for a passionate and experienced SLD/PMLD Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive special school in Shepherd’s Bush, West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher who is dedicated to supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
About the Role
As an SLD/PMLD Teacher in Shepherd’s Bush, you will plan and deliver creative, individualised lessons that meet the diverse needs of your pupils. You’ll use a range of multi-sensory and communication strategies, such as PECS, Makaton and sensory-based learning, to help pupils engage, progress and thrive.
You will work alongside a highly skilled team of SEN Teaching Assistants, therapists and support staff, ensuring every child receives a holistic and nurturing learning experience.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) – ECTs and experienced SEN teachers welcome.
- Experience teaching pupils with SLD, PMLD, or complex needs.
- A creative, patient and compassionate approach to teaching.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to inclusive education.
