Working hours: Part-time, 3 to 4 days per week (days TBC)

 

A dedicated and caring mainstream primary school located in Tower Hamlets are seeking a qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their mission in support children with SEND, supporting their educational journey. This school provides a community where every child is valued and believes in a diverse learning environment with tailored approaches, ensuring the environment allows them to flourish and reach key milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on all SEN provision, ensuring that children with additional needs receive the best possible support.
  • Manage the SEN register and oversee the creation and implementation of Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies to ensure a collaborative approach to SEN support.
  • Oversee all SEN-related administration, ensuring that records and processes are kept up-to-date.
  • Provide guidance and support to teaching and support staff to enhance SEN provision across the school.

Requirements:

  • NASENCO/NPSENCO qualification (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of EHCP processes and experience managing EHCPs.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience in SEN administration.
  • A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
