We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary provision in West London. This role involves providing 1:1 and small group support for children with additional and complex needs.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in SEN, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position in a highly supportive and well-resourced setting.
About the Role:
You will support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning challenges, both in specialist provisions and mainstream settings as required. You will help children access learning, develop social and communication skills, and build confidence and independence throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND

Support children within both specialist and mainstream classroom environments

Use communication strategies, visual supports, and sensory-informed approaches to meet individual needs

Assist with daily routines, transitions, and structured activities

Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCo, and support staff to implement personalised support plans

Foster a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

About You:

Experience working with children with SEND (school-based or alternative settings preferred)

Confidence supporting pupils with autism and complex communication needs

Calm, patient, and nurturing approach

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners

Relevant experience or qualifications (Teaching Assistant, SEN support, childcare, psychology, youth work, etc.) desirable but not essential
