£194.20 to £258.84 (MPS1 - MPS6) per day PAYE 

Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 04:00 PM

Full-time, long-term to permanent contract (term-time only)

Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking to transition your career to work in a specialist provision. We are working alongside a primary academy based in Hayes, Hillingdon who are looking to appoint a Primary Teacher to work in their Specialist Provision leading a mixed primary class of KS1/KS2 students. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience teaching students with additional needs in mainstream settings looking for a change to smaller, focused class sizes.

 

This will be a full-time position starting immediately till the end of the academic year. Upon review, there will be an opportunity to go permanent from September 2026. The pay will range from MPS1 to MPS6 outer London, the school may consider UPS for the right candidate, but you must demonstrate the right qualities. 

 

The role:

  • Lead a mixed KS1/KS2 class for students with Autism
  • Able to teach to EYFS/KS1 standards as students are working behind their expected ability level
  • Be able to implement sensory learning and manage levels of dysregulation across students
  • Confident in adapting curriculum teaching to provide a personalised teaching tailored to students 
  • Be able to create a structured, nurturing classroom environment 
  • Managed Teaching Assistants and delegate tasks efficiently throughout the school day
  • Work closely with Class Teachers, Therapists and the wider SEN team to aid development

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching students with additional needs in a mainstream or specialist setting
  • Comfortable teaching students with Autism, associated learning needs and complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of Early Years and KS1 teaching standards
  • A flexible, reflective and creative teaching approach 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education
