Role - Specialist Resource Provision Class Teacher
Location - Newham, North East London
Rate - £150 - £250 per day
As an experienced teacher, whether in mainstream or SEND, you want to deliver the very best for your students. However, sometimes your goals, standards, and the impact you know you could have are diluted by the environment you are working in. This is a chance to change that.
We are supporting a mainstream primary school with a dedicated SEN provision who are looking to appoint a SEN Lead Teacher from September 2026. This is a leadership-focused role overseeing a small provision of three classes, supporting pupils with a range of needs from moderate to more complex SEN profiles.
This is a school that has worked hard to create an environment that supports both students and staff. The Senior Leadership Team is committed to staff wellbeing and development, fostering a culture of collaboration where colleagues work together, share ideas, and feel genuinely supported in their roles.
The teaching team is energetic, passionate, and welcoming, with strong relationships across staff built on shared purpose and supportive leadership that is hands-on and encouraging.
In this role, you will take responsibility for the overall running of the SEN provision, including overseeing planning, supporting staff, contributing to PPA, and ensuring teaching and learning across all three classes is engaging, structured, and tailored to individual needs. You will help shape the provision while supporting staff in delivering consistent, high-quality practice.
You will need to be creative in your approach, confident adapting learning for a wide range of needs, and able to lead with warmth, empathy, and clarity. Staff will look to you for guidance, encouragement, and direction.
Every school is different, and finding the right environment is key. In this setting, your patience, passion, and consistency will have a direct and meaningful impact on pupils who face significant barriers to learning.
At Parker Smith Inclusion, we take time to understand your experience and values to ensure the right match. We provide full support throughout, including CV guidance, interview preparation, and ongoing career development.
SEND training and CPD are an important part of this school’s commitment to staff growth, and your experience in adapting curriculum will be highly valued if you are moving from a mainstream background.
Parker Smith Inclusion work closely with a wide range of SEND schools and provisions and are regularly recruiting for specialist education roles. If this isn’t quite right, we would still love to support you in finding your ideal next step.
