Specialist SEND Teacher – PMLD
Location: Harrow
Pay: M1–UPS3 Outer London Pay Scale + SEN Allowance
Contract: Full-time
Start: ASAP
Do you believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, develop and achieve their full potential?
For pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, progress can look different for everyone. Sometimes, the smallest steps can make the biggest difference.
Parker Smith Inclusion is working with a specialist SEND school in Harrow that is looking for a dedicated Teacher to support pupils with complex learning needs through personalised, child-centred education.
As a Teacher, you will create meaningful learning experiences that develop communication, independence, confidence and personal skills. You'll take responsibility for your own class, adapting lessons to meet individual needs and ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to make progress at their own pace.
You don't need to have spent your entire career in specialist education. Whether you're an experienced PMLD Teacher, a mainstream Teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT ready to develop your practice, this could be an opportunity to make a real difference.
We're particularly interested in teachers who bring:
-
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or complex learning needs, although this isn't essential for the right candidate.
-
A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach to teaching.
-
The ability to create engaging, personalised learning opportunities.
-
Strong classroom management and the confidence to lead and support a team of Teaching Assistants.
-
A genuine passion for helping every pupil develop their communication, independence and life skills.
-
A collaborative approach to working with families, Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals.
This is an opportunity to join a specialist setting where you can develop your teaching practice, learn from experienced professionals and celebrate the achievements that matter most to each individual pupil.
If this role or any of the opportunities currently available with Parker Smith Inclusion has caught your interest, I'd love to share more details and guide you through the next steps.
Working with Parker Smith Inclusion, you'll be supported and respected for what you bring to the pupils and schools we work with.
Contact Daniel at Parker Smith Inclusion to discuss your next step in SEND education.
