Are you a specialist teacher looking for your next challenge? Perhaps you're a mainstream teacher but have a passion for SEND and want to take the jump into special school teaching for the next academic year?
Parker Smith Inclusion have a long standing partnership with a trust of schools that cater for a newly developed special school based in Newham, as this school is continuously growing and developing we are looking for specialist teachers for September 2026 that would be interested in being part of that journey.
This school caters for students from age 5 - 15 with a diagnosis of autism, speech and language difficulties (mix of pre-verbal and verbal), learning disabilities and complex needs, the classes are small meaning a maximum of 5 students within one class each with a 1:1 or 2:1 TA and the classes are based on the level of need, meaning children can connect with their peers and create friendships.
To be considered for these roles it would be ideal if you have the following experience and qualifications;
- QTS or QTLS certification (ECTs can be considered)
- Special school experience or proven track record of supporting SEND students in a mainstream setting
- Ability to modify lessons plans to meet the individual needs of the students
- Sensory based curriculum experience
- Intervention experience such as; Bucket Time, Intensive Interaction, Attention Autism, Colourful Semantics
- Genuine passion and knowledge for SEND especially autism
Please be aware these roles are 5 days a week and permanent, we can also offer temp - perm placements where you can be transferred after 100 days as long as all feedback is positive at the school.
