Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Our fantastic, specialist provision in Hackney are seeking enthusiastic and committed Specialist Teaching Assistants to join our outstanding team.
About Our School:
This is an Ofsted-rated Good MS Primary with a EYFS and SEN Provision on site, catering for pupils aged 4-13 with Severe Learning Difficulties, SLCN, Autism, ADHD and a range of associated learning needs. They are provide a warm, supportive atmosphere and commitment to helping every pupil thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role:
As an specialist teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a variety of complex needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and sensory processing challenges. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to create a safe, engaging, and meaningful learning experience for every child.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils in the classroom with learning, communication, personal care, and sensory regulation

Work in small groups to reinforce learning and encourage independence

Help implement individual education and behaviour plans under the guidance of teaching staff

Build trusting relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues

Contribute to the positive, inclusive ethos of the school
What We’re Looking For:

A genuine passion for working with children and young people with SEN
-
Experience supporting individuals with pre-verbal, non-verbal or autism needs.

A calm, patient, and positive attitude with excellent teamwork skills
-
Willingness to learn new strategies and approaches – full training provided

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
