Parker Smith Inclusion are supporting a large mainstream secondary based in Bethnal Green that have a specialised SEND & SEMH provision as well as individulised support for speech & language and they are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support their students that have this need.
This school are keen to support the right staff with progression relevant to their qualification or career aspirations and offer a clear pathway for you to aspire to, given you the opportunity to generally excel within your specialsm - as long as you show willingness, pro-activtiy and an attitude that goes above and beyond the average.
To be a Speech & Language Teaching Assistant you must have experience and/or a support qualification specific to speech & language (NHS experience is still relevant), you must be able to demonstrate examples of times you have supported with interventions that are specific to SEND and SLCN, supported young people that are non-verbal, pre-verbal and/or have limited speech.
Other experience that is beneficial as a SEND Teaching Assistant within a non-mainstream setting specialising in autism, cognitive delay, SLCN, and learning disabilities.
