• Supporting pupils with a range of communication profiles, including autism and complex needs
• Contributing to EHCP targets and reviewing progress against outcomes
• Modelling communication strategies and advising teaching and support staff
• Working in partnership with families, teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Supervising and supporting therapy assistants where appropriate
• Contributing to service development and maintaining high clinical standards

The therapy and school environment

• A specialist SEN setting supporting pupils with significant learning needs, autism, medical needs and complex communication profiles
• An established SaLT service including a SaLT Lead and Therapy Assistant
• Strong multidisciplinary collaboration across education, therapy and pastoral teams
• A neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based ethos embedded across the school
• Clear structures, pathways and systems that support both pupil progress and clinician wellbeing

About you

• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
• Band 6 therapist or Band 5 working toward Band 6
• Experience within paediatrics, SEN or specialist education settings
• Confident with assessment, intervention planning and outcome-focused practice
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Values collaborative working and whole-school impact
• Committed to inclusive, respectful and neurodiversity-affirming practice

Why apply?

• Term-time only working pattern with school holidays
• Supportive leadership and established therapy framework
• Opportunity to influence communication practice across a whole school
• Clear progression and professional development opportunities
