Salary: £32,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)

About the role
We are seeking a skilled and reflective Speech and Language Therapist to join a specialist SEN setting in North West London. This is a Band 6 opportunity, also suitable for a confident Band 5 therapist ready to progress, within a structured and supportive therapy service.
You will work with secondary-aged pupils who present with autism, neurodevelopmental conditions and complex communication needs. The role offers a strong balance of direct clinical work, collaboration with staff and contribution to whole-school communication practice.
This is an established post with a full handover, allowing you to build on existing provision while shaping future development.
Key responsibilities
• Assessing, planning and delivering evidence-based speech and language interventions
• Supporting pupils with a range of communication profiles, including autism and complex needs
• Contributing to EHCP targets and reviewing progress against outcomes
• Modelling communication strategies and advising teaching and support staff
• Working in partnership with families, teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Supervising and supporting therapy assistants where appropriate
• Contributing to service development and maintaining high clinical standards

• A specialist SEN setting supporting pupils with significant learning needs, autism, medical needs and complex communication profiles
• An established SaLT service including a SaLT Lead and Therapy Assistant
• Strong multidisciplinary collaboration across education, therapy and pastoral teams
• A neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based ethos embedded across the school
• Clear structures, pathways and systems that support both pupil progress and clinician wellbeing
About you
• HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
• Band 6 therapist or Band 5 working toward Band 6
• Experience within paediatrics, SEN or specialist education settings
• Confident with assessment, intervention planning and outcome-focused practice
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Values collaborative working and whole-school impact
• Committed to inclusive, respectful and neurodiversity-affirming practice
