Specialist SEMH Setting

Enfield

Starting ASAP

Are you an experienced SEMH Teacher or PSHE specialist who feels your impact is limited by your current environment or lack of support?

A specialist SEMH setting in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to lead and deliver a meaningful PSHE curriculum to young people aged 11–18.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the warmth of this welcoming and nurturing environment. With a strong focus on relationships, wellbeing, and emotional development, this is a school where pupils are truly understood and supported to thrive. While the role brings its challenges, it is also incredibly rewarding and backed by a highly supportive team.

The school takes a relational, attachment-aware and trauma-informed approach, ensuring that every young person is given the opportunity to succeed in a safe, compassionate and structured environment.

About the Role

You will lead and deliver a high-quality PSHE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. The curriculum focuses on real-life skills, emotional literacy, and preparation for adulthood.

  • Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education
  • Careers education and preparation for adulthood
  • Emotional wellbeing, resilience and healthy relationships
  • Financial education, citizenship and life skills

You will play a key role in shaping a curriculum that is practical, engaging and tailored to the needs of SEMH learners.

What You Can Expect

  • Highly experienced support staff in every classroom
  • 1:1 support for pupils where needed
  • A supportive Senior Leadership Team who actively shape curriculum and provide resources
  • A collaborative approach with pastoral teams and external agencies
  • Flexibility and understanding around work/life balance
  • Ongoing professional development and training in SEMH and trauma-informed practice
  • Access to wellbeing initiatives and staff support
  • Opportunity to secure a permanent position

Why This Role?

This is a school where your career is valued just as much as your contribution in the classroom. You’ll be supported to grow professionally while making a genuine difference to the lives of young people.

If you are looking for a role where you can have real impact, be supported by a strong team, and deliver a curriculum that truly matters, this could be the perfect next step.
