Teaching Assistant (SEND)
Location: Peckham
Salary: £95 per day PAYE
Mon – Fri 8:30am to 4:30pm (Term-Time Only)
Start Date: September 2026
Here at Parker Smith Inclusion, we are currently collaborating with an inclusive specialist school in the Peckham area. This school helps support young people (ages 11 to 19) with complex learning difficulties, Autism and profound, multiple and severe learning difficulties (PMLD & SLD). This provision is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join and create an impact within their team.
A lot of the pupils require different types of support. These may include; mobility support, additional medical or sensory support and others may be non-verbal so are supported by using techniques such as Makaton, PECS, or AAC devices. As challenging as this role may sound, you will be rewarded with making a lasting impact in young people’s education.
Within your role as a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will encourage communication and create lasting and trusting relationships with the young people in your care, maintaining a safe and calm environment.
Assisting with personal care and hydrotherapy sessions in the on-site pool is a must when it comes to this role.
