Teaching Assistant (Primary) – KS1 Support
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school team in the local area. This role will primarily involve supporting pupils within Key Stage 1, working closely with the class teacher to promote positive learning outcomes and inclusion.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children academically, socially, and emotionally. Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting pupils in class, individually and in small groups

Assisting with the delivery of learning activities

Promoting positive behaviour and engagement

Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and development

Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
Additional Opportunity:
We may also be appointing an additional Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 class with a higher level of need. This class includes two pupils with complex needs and ASD. For this role, we are seeking a candidate with proven experience supporting children with autism and managing more complex needs within a classroom setting.
